Promotion reduces admission prices for 2013
New admission rates includes racecard
Supporters can buy tickets online
Workington Speedway are pleased to announce reduced admission prices for 2013.
As promised, we have targeted an overall reduction in costs to supporters attending speedway at Derwent Park - not only on admission but we have also looked at programme costs. Following consultation via a poll, we have decided to reduce the total cost from what was £17.50 in 2012 (£15 admission and £2.50 programme) to £13 and include a race card for 2013.

This is part of our "Return of the Comets" strategy where we recognise that price could be a huge barrier to supporters attending meetings. We want to get the buzz back and to do that we need the crowds to come back.

£13 is taking the price back to where it was in 2006, and whilst we understand that this strategy may fail we are prepared to have faith in the fans and hope they flock back.

Part of the strategy is also to make it easy to buy tickets and offer a range of benefits.

From early December we will be implementing an online ticket office through our official website workingtoncomets.co where you will be able to buy season tickets and advanced admission using your credit or debit card or paypal account.
We will also offer Premium Tickets on some race nights when fans can, for an increased price, upgrade their tickets to a Premium one which will give them access to our hospitality lounge to watch the racing from the balcony and enjoy a complimentary buffet, tea and coffee as well as access to their own pay bar.
In addition we have negotiated extra benefits for season ticket holders where they can visit many away Premier League tracks and receive substantial discount on entry (will not include when the Comets are racing at that track!)

A special VIP club is being introduced where you can upgrade your season ticket and join the "Club Comets" which includes free priority parking, access to the hospitality suite on 3 occasions during the season where there will be a complimentary buffet, tea and coffee and a pay bar. They will also receive a 5% discount on merchandise from our online shop that will be going live early in the new year.

Under 5's still get in for free and we have also given the concession ticket holders a chance to buy a season ticket
For those who don't want to buy a season ticket or would like to buy a nice Christmas present for someone we are introducing books of 3,5 or 10 tickets at a discounted price.

We are looking at the possibility of also introducing a monthly Comets magazine so we can make sure everyone who enjoys the additional content of a programme will not miss out.

Finally the new official website will be up and running in early December with a new slick look and feel and much more content for everyone to enjoy.

Workington Speedway is looking forward to the "Return of the Comets".
