Comets new signing performed well in a classy field at Kurri Kurri Speedway in Australia
The Boxing Day Jason Crump Invitational was his first meeting on his new bikes and he was riding against a field of Australian riders who ride in the UK and included riders well above Masons' starting average for 2013.

The meeting was won by Swindons' Troy Batchelor who beat Jason Doyle, Alex Davies and Sam Masters in the A Final.

Mason scored 9 point from his 5 rides which included a win, two seconds and two thirds ans was rewarded with a place in the B Final where he finished behind Rohan Tungate and Adam Shields

He now is focussing on qualifying for the Australian Championships in two weeks time and is excited about his new bright pink, black and white bikes which "look cool"

More updates from Mason soon.
