8 point haul not enough
Count back misery
New Comet Mason Campton endured count back heart break yet again in Australia whilst competing in the U-21 Championship
Having missed out on qualification for the Australian Championships on a count back he yet again missed out on an an opportunity to compete in the B final on a count back in the U-21's at Kurri Kurri this morning.

Having started his qualification heats well with a win, Mason then had 3 third places before finishing off his eith point haul with a second place. This left him on 8 points alongside Ipswich's Cameron Heeps and Rye House's Tyron Nelson. Heeps went straight through having had 2 wins but Mason missed out due to Tyron Nelson having 2 seconds, a third and a last place versus Mason's one second and three thirds.

The eventual winner was Edinburghs new signing Max Fricke who came from last place to first in the final to take the title.
