The season starts in earnest with a home League Cup fixture against the Redcar Bears on Saturday 6th April with the return leg being the first official away fixture the following Thursday.
An early season opportunity for a trip away pops up on Thursday/Friday 25th/26th April when we are away to Ipswich in the KOC second leg then away to Scunthorpe Scorpions in the Premier League the following evening.
The Premier League campaign starts away from home at Owlerton, Home of the Sheffield Tigers with the mouth watering prospect of seeing Comets favourite Simon Stead at his home track and maybe an early season opportunity for an upset??
The early summer brings another tour opportunity with the Comets riding at Somerset on Friday 19th July then at Leicester the following night. Its then a mad dash back up the M6 for the return PL match with the Lions.
The mouth watering prospect of some top riders competing in the GB v Australia test match at Derwent Park on Saturday 17th August will be exciting for the Comets fans (we know it is for the promotion)
