Tigers Chief Confident of Points at Weekend
Sheffield Tigers Co-Promoter Dave Hoggart is confident his Sheffield Tigers septet can come away from Derwent Park with some if not all points on Saturday
Hoggart, who helped out the Comets by being the Centre Green announcer last weekend, has confidence his side has the make up and ability to worry the Comets round Derwent Park on Saturday.
"We have started the season off really well and most of our lads like the Derwent Park track and our new Argentinian sensation Facundo Albin will like the wide open space as well"."I rate Newcastle as a top 4 side this season and they nearly took all the points last weekend so am confident we can win on Saturday" said Hoggart
Sheffield have ex Comets star Simon Stead in their side who rates Derwent Park as his favourite track in the World, alongside him is former Comet Joe Haines and a man who has guested frequently Ricky Wells. All the Comets will have to be on their game to keep the Tigers at bay.
Steve Whitehead, Co Promoter with the Comets said "Dave might have a lot of confidence in his side but we probably have as much if not more in ours, if all our riders are on song we are a powerhouse side and whilst Dave is confident about Saturday I think he should be more worried about Thursday myself"."We are really looking forward to the return of Steady and think he is a top class rider, especially round Derwent Park, but I think he will find our heat leader trio a bit of a handful".
Comets face Sheffield in back to back action in their opening Premier League action and are hoping for a great start to their league campaign.
