Mills Breaks Wrist in Freak Accident
Sun 21 Apr 2013 by Press Office
Chris Mills has sustained a broken left wrist, that will keep him out for a few weeks, in a freak accident last night
Even though Chris has yet again performed really well for the Comets in their huge 62-33 victory over the Sheffield Tigers last night, scoring 7+1 from his 4 rides, he was still unhappy with his gating and decided to have a practice after the meeting.

But, in his first attempt, a freak accident occurred where he flipped the bike and landed awkwardly on the track a few yards from the tapes. He was treated by the on-track medical team but was in a lot of pain and went off to A&E last night.

His eventual x-ray showed up a clean break of the left wrist, which will see him on the sidelines for a few weeks.

Chris tweeted this morning "Big school boy error last night, broken wrist, hopefully won't be out for too long #gutted #officialcomets"

We wish Chris a speedy recovery.

This means the Comets will have to run with guests for the matches that Chris misses. Micky Dyer, who has started the season so well for Redcar, guests tonight in our final League Cup match at Newcastle.
