Workington Comets came away from the Eddie Wright Raceway with 2 points after holding the Champions to a draw
In a very closely fought contest that had thrills, spills and controversy a final shared heat gave the Comets the major points from the live Sky meeting.

In a meeting that saw that the Comets lead early on but fall 6 points behind after heat 10 the Comets rallied and came away with a draw after local hero Craig Cook flew past the home riders in Heat 15 to take the points.

It was a heat that saw a bit of controversy when Micky Dyer, who seemed to be taken off by David Howe, was excluded by the referee. The Comets management were amazed but accepted the decision and were glad when heat 15 was shared.

All the riders showed grit and determination but special mention to Ashley who rode really well for his five paid 8 points.

Thanks again to our guests who filled in for the missing Captain Rich Lawson and for Chris Mills. They both again rode their hearts out for our cause.
