Workington and Edinburgh Speedway have moved quickly to re-schedule their rained off Premier League fixture to Monday 16th September at 7.30pm
With the PL Cut-off date looming and Edinburgh in with a chance of finishing in the top 2 it was in the interests of both clubs to agree a date before the end of the cut-off at midnight on the 16th Sept.
It means that Workington fans will have a fantastic long weekend of Speedway with the Test Match still being on Saturday and then the Edinburgh fixture 2 days later on Monday with the 'Fence Fund Fun Day' on Saturday afternoon.
The promotion are very conscious of the stress on the purse of fans who no doubt would love to see both fixtures and have come up with the following:
- the rain off ticket from the Edinburgh meeting will be valid for the Test Match or the meeting on Monday (in fact it is valid for any single Workington meeting for this season and next season)
- under British Speedway rules there would normally be a £2 charge for re-entry using the rain off ticket (as there were 2 heats on Monday night) but Workington Speedway have decided to waive this charge to show appreciation of the patience of the fans at Derwent Park last Monday
- normal admission prices will apply on Saturday night
- KEEP YOUR ADMISSION TICKET FOR SATURDAY NIGHT - if you present this ticket at the turnstile on Monday 16th Sept at the Edinburgh PL meeting then you will be allowed entry for the concession price of £10.00
Kids for a Quid will still apply all weekend.
Hopefully this will allow everyone who wants to come to the speedway this weekend to have maximum enjoyment.
Don't forget on Saturday night there will be a fantastic souvenir programme on sale for £2.50 and there will not be the normal race card.
