Ashley Morris takes second place in British under-19 Championship
Comets reserve Ashley Morris finished in second place behind reigning champion Stefan Nielsen in this evening's British under-19 Championship at Coventry.

Ashley, who was riding in the championship for the last time, had won all five of his qualifying heats to progress directly to the final as top-scorer along with Ipswich rider Adam Ellis, who finished his five rides in second place with 14 points after dropping his only point to Ashley in his final ride.

They were joined in the final by Stefan Nielsen and Ben Morley, who finished first and second respectively in the semi-final. However, when the tapes rose in the final it was Nielson that rode round the outside on turns one and two to lead into the back straight. That's the way it remained right to the chequered flag as Nielsen won from Ashley in a new NL track record, with Ben Morley coming home ahead of Adam Ellis to take third place.
