The Workington Comets have their main sponsors and key partners back on board for 2014.
The management of Workington Speedway are delighted to announce that their Main Team Sponsor and both of their Key Partners from last season are all set to continue their association with the club this season.
This means that Thomas Armstrong Holdings will continue their long association with the club as Main Team Sponsors for an incredible eighth successive season.
Meanwhile J. Edgar & Son and ast signs will both continue as Key Partners; with all three businesses once again having their names incorporated within the Comets race-jacket in 2014.
Comets owner Laura Morgan said: “The backing of such high profile and well respected Cumbrian based businesses is invaluable to us and we are very appreciative of their continued support of the Comets as we embark on what we hope will be a very successful season for all parties.
“As a new promotional team last season we were very pleased with the support we got from all of our sponsors but especially Thomas Armstrong, J. Edgar & Son and ast signs, whose assistance throughout the season was instrumental in what was a successful first season for us as promoters.
“We would like to think that we played a part in promoting their businesses locally and, through our tv appearance, to a wider audience; and hopefully we can continue to do that in 2014.”
The long-established Thomas Armstrong Ltd, who are based just outside Workington at Flimby are one of the largest employers in West Cumbria; with their core business of construction services, the supply of aggregates and the manufacture of quality building products including bespoke joinery, timber frames, pre-cast concrete and concrete blocks.
J. Edgar & Son, who also have a long history of supporting the Comets, were official team sponsors back in 2003 and are a well established and locally-based family business with new and used car showrooms at Dunmail Park Workington and nearby Rowrah, dealing in Suzuki, Hyundai and Nissan vehicles.
Ast Signs, who have a head office in Penrith, with branches in Workington, Carlisle and Manchester, specialise in fleet graphics and in particular vehicle wrapping. They also manufacture and fit signage for various applications including plant, equipment, safety and promotion, as well as the supply of work wear and embroidery.
