Injured Comets number one Josh Grajczonek is to have an operation tomorrow following his crash with Ryan Fisher at Coventry last Friday.
Josh saw the specialists today, who decided that he needed to undergo an operation on his injured face, following the fractures to his nose and eye socket, which will take place tomorrow (Thursday).

At present we cannot confirm how long this will rule him out of action for but as Josh said: "The sooner it is done the sooner I will be back!"

Comets owner Laura Morgan said: "Naturally we hope everything is a success as regards the operation and like all speedway riders Josh will be aiming to be back as soon as he can, which is often sooner than doctors imagine when it comes to speedway riders!"

Team manager Tony Jackson added: "Obviously we will be in contact with Josh as he goes through his recovery period but thankfully June is a relatively quiet month with only four Comets fixtures.

"Of course as he is our number one we can use guest riders to cover for him if necessary and we have already got riders on standby if required!"
