Kyle Howarth will miss the Comets home fixture with Plymouth tomorrow.
He had an attempted practice during Friday but soon realised that while feeling a little better his injured left ankle was still not ready to make a racing comeback and the Comets will now operate the Rider Replacement facility for him in the home fixture with Plymouth tomorrow.

While disappointed, Kyle realises that he must be fully fit in order to make a racing return as coming back too early could lengthen the time he has out of action.

Comets owner Laura Morgan said: "Obviously it was the correct thing to do by trying it out as when he makes a comeback he needs to be able to take all of his rides if required.

"Ligament injuries can take time to heal and we will just have to play it by ear in many ways until he is ready to return, which hopefully won't be too long."
