The Comets can now reveal that the National League rider replacing the National League Fours bound Simon Lambert at Glasgow on Sunday will be Cradley's Danny Phillips.
Phillips, who finished runner-up to Ryan MacDonald in the Northern Junior League Riders' Championship at Workington late last month has agreed to help out Workington at reserve in the first match of the double-header at Glasgow on Sunday - after which he will guest for Berwick in the second fixture of the day against the Tigers.

He will not be the only rider representing two teams that afternoon of course as his reserve partner for the Comets, Alex Edberg, will then be donning the colours of his own club Berwick in the second match.

But, it is not just Berwick riders that are racing twice - as both Mason Campton and Ricky Wells will be taking part in the second match of the day - Mason in the colours of Berwick and Ricky representing the home side, Glasgow.

The fact that this is happening perfectly illustrates the difficulties in obtaining guest riders at this late stage of the season!
