Battle for Ian Thomas Shield will be re-opened over the Easter weekend.
The Workington Comets will open up the 2015 season with 2 challenge trophies against "local" rivals.
Subject to fixture approval the Comets will open up their 2015 season with the A66 Trophy against Redcar Bears and the Ian Thomas Memorial Shield against the Newcastle Diamonds

Our first meeting will be away at the South Tees Motorpark on Thursday 26th March 2015 with the return leg of the A66 Trophy being two days later at the Derwent Park Oval. This could mean the Comets opening their 2015 home fixtures with a Trophy!

Then the following weekend the Ian Thomas Shield will be hotly contested with the Newcastle Diamonds again, the first leg at Workington on Saturday 4th April and the return leg the following night at Brough Park, Newcastle where the Comets will be hoping to retain the shield.

The remaining fixtures for the 2015 season will be known in Jan/Feb and will be released then but you can no insert the first few dates on your Comets calendar!. If you don't have one you can get one by click into the online shop and ordering yours to be delivered to your door!
