Two of the Comets 2015 line-up have been called up by Team GB boss Alun Rossiter as part of a national select side to race at Peterborough on Sunday 15th March.
Kyle Howarth and Nathan Greaves will be part of a GB Select side to face the strongly-fancied Peterborough Panthers at The Showground in their season opener.
Along with Howarth and Greaves, Rossiter has also named Richie Worrall, Ben Barker and Lewis Rose, with two more riders yet to be confirmed.
Rossiter said: “It should be a good way for Peterborough to start the season and it will definitely be helpful for me to have a look at so many Brits in action.
“We don't have an abundance of experienced riders so it is essential to look at those coming through. While I've worked with most of the lads in the GB Select team before in one capacity or another, this gives me a good chance to see how they go about things and what sort of mentality they have.”
Comets team manager Tony Jackson added: "This will be great experience for Kyle and young Nathan, which can only benefit them and us. Additionally, it confirms our belief that in having Kyle and Nathan in our line-up for 2015 we have two of British speedway's brightest prospects for the future.
"Kyle has had some involvement in fixtures such as this in the past but for Nathan it will be a new and very valuable experience from which he will gain so much just by being involved. Hopefully this will set him up nicely for his season with us.
"Recognition by Alun Rossiter for a meeting such as this should also do Nathan's confidence the world of good and, like in all sports, confidence is such a major part of speedway."
