The Workington Comets will once again have a presence at the Northern Clubs Media Launch Day, which takes place at Newcastle's Brough Park Stadium; this year on Monday 23rd March.
This follows on from the inaugural event last season (see photo above), which was deemed to be a great success by all that attended, and features two riders and management representatives from each of Berwick, Newcastle, Redcar and Workington.
Film units from BBC and ITV will be in attendance, with the Comets being represented by skipper Rene Bach and ‘Testimonial Man' Rusty Harrison and, while helping raise the profile of the clubs and the sport in the region, it will also give the two Comets an opportunity to get in a few practice laps ahead of the early season Ian Thomas Shield fixture at Brough Park.
The home and away fixtures against the Diamonds take place over the Easter weekend (4th and 5th April), with the Comets looking to retain the shield that they won last season.
The media interviews will take place from 11:00am, after which riders from each of the four clubs will take to the track from approximately 12 noon; with supporters from all of the clubs taking part more than welcome to attend the event.
