New Comets number one Kenneth Hansen received a rousing reception at tonight's 'Meet the Riders' function when he unexpectedly walked through the door of The Waverley Hotel.
After what he decribed as "the longest 48 hours of my life" Kenneth told the healthy attendance "I now just want to get back on my bike and get racing" after what can be described as a 'traumatic few days' in his life following his testicular cancer scare.

All the riders (with the exception of Ricky Wells, who was riding for parent club Wolves at Coventry) were in attendance, along with the Comets management team; to put forward their thoughts, hopes and expectations for the new season.

Additional questions from the floor made for an entertaining evening and got everyone in the mood ahead of tomorrow's first home fixture of 2015 - the second leg of the A66 Challenge against the Redcar Bears; with the Comets already holding a 20-point lead following their comprehensive 56-36 away success at Redcar on Thursday evening.
