Tonight's Premier League meeting at Redcar was Abandoned after just four races when the track conditions were deemed unfit for the meeting to continue.
At the time of the abandonment the Comets were actually leading the match 14-10; despite tracking a weakened team after number one Kenneth Hansen was told he must race in his scheduled Swedish League fixture.

At that point the Comets had produced all four race winners - two from Kyle Howarth and one apiece from Nathan Greaves and Ricky Wells - nevertheless, there were no complaints from the Comets side of the pits about the abandonment; with all riders agreeing that the track was far too dangerous to allow the meeting to continue as it did not allow all riders to race safely.

Obviously it was very disappointing for the fans but, with the track as patchy and inconsistant as it was, all riders were pleased that common sense had prevailed and that no-one had been hurt.

At present no new date has been agreed between the two promotions for the re-staging of the fixture.
