The signing of Matthew Wethers has been formally approved by the BSPA Management Committee, which will enable him to finally make his Comets debut in tomorrow's home KOC fixture against Rye House.
The team change was accepted and the new Comets team declaration was formally issued this afternoon with Matthew's name in place.

Comets team manager Tony Jackson said: "You have to submit any team changes a minimum of three clear days before their intended debut, which we did, and as such we did not expect there to be any problems - However, it is always good to get official notification that your new line-up has been formally approved.

"Matthew (pictured above inside Chris Mills and Kyle Howarth on a visit to Derwent Park with Berwick last year) will line-up at number 2 for the Comets this weekend. He has his 2015 racing licence in place and we are 'good to go' as they say. I spoke to Matthew this afternoon and he is very much looking forward to getting his season underway - albeit two months later than he would have liked!"
