The Comets skipper Rene Bach yesterday qualified for the Danish Final, which takes place at Slangerup on Friday 21st August.
Rene finished in fourth place overall, with 10 points, after coming home second in a four rider run-off for third place.
He began the meeting with three second places before picking up a race win in his fourth outing and then a third place in his fifth ride.
This left him tied on 10 points with former Glasgow rider Anders Thomsen, Mads Korneliussen and Jesper B Monberg.
Thomsen won the run-off ahead of Rene, followed by Monberg with Korneliussen finishing in last place.
However, it was purely academic as with the top ten of the 16-rider line-up all progressing to the Danish Final they all progressed to the final in any case!
The meeting was won by Patrick Hougaard, who defeated Hans Andersen in a run-off after both had scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, it was not such a good day for Kenneth Hansen, who finished in twelfth place as his 5-point return only saw him score enough to book a reserve berth at Slangerup on August 21st. But, of that five point score, he picked up three points when he won his second ride - and in doing so he inflicted defeat on Rene!
Joining the ten qualifiers from yesterday's semi-final at Holsted are seeded riders Nicki Pedersen, Niels Kristian Iversen, Michael Jepsen Jensen, Bjarne Pedersen and former Comet Peter Kildemand; with the last position to be filled by a wild card to be nominated by the DMU.
