Kirkland Carpets are a Key Partner in 2016
KIRKLAND CARPETS & BED CENTRE ANNOUNCED AS A KEY PARTNER FOR THE COMETS IN 2016
Following on from last week's news that Thomas Armstrong were continuing as Workington Comets main team sponsor for a record-breaking tenth successive season, the Comets management are pleased to announce that Kirkland Carpets & Bed Centre of Ennerdale Road, Cleator Moor, are to be a Key Partner with the club in 2016.
The family run firm, which specialises in Carpets, Flooring and Beds, has recently celebrated 34 years in business; having been started by long-time speedway fan, Michael Dunsmoir, and they carry out flooring work throughout Cumbria.
The business is now principally run by his sons Alistair and Andrew, along with Andrew's wife Jacky – all of who have supported the Comets since their return to the town in 1999. In fact Kirkland Carpets were the Comets first ever main team sponsor back in 2000 and, in addition to sponsoring the Comets, they are also sponsoring locally-born former Comet Craig Cook this season.
Comets owner Laura Morgan said: “We are delighted to welcome ‘Kirkland Carpets and Bed Centre' as Key Partners with the Comets in 2016. The whole family are very keen Comets supporters and they have been involved in sponsorship with our promotion previously.
“However, this is a step up in their involvement for 2016, which we really appreciate, and once again we urge our fans to support the businesses that support the Comets.”
As a ‘Key Partner' for the coming season the name and logo of the Kirkland Carpets & Bed Centre will feature on the rear of the Comets 2016 race-jackets.
