It has been announced that the Comets are all set to make another appearance live on Sky Sports!
This time it will be our AWAY Premier League fixture at Berwick and it will be shown on Monday 27th June, live from Berwick's Shielfield Park.
Comets owner Laura Morgan said: "This is great news for the Comets and for the Premier League and we hope as many Comets fans as possible will be able to travel over to Berwick to make it a really great atmosphere for the evening.
"Whenever Premier League racing has appeared on Sky Sports it has been very well received with some fantastic racing, and naturally we hope that this will be no different and of course we also hope that the Comets can win the meeting.
"This will provide great publicity for the club and for the town; so naturally everyone is very much looking forward to it."
The Bandits are the Comets oldest rivals, having first met in the Comets opening meeting at Derwent Park back in 1970, but this will be the first time that the two clubs have faced each other in a televised fixture.
The Comets have appeared in a TV fixture several times down the years but it is over three years since their last appearance on Sky Sports, which was their 45-45 all draw at Scunthorpe at the end of April 2013.
This Premier League fixture has been brought forward from Saturday 27th August in order to accommodate the TV date, and as a result of the move our originally scheduled league visit to Berwick on Saturday 27th August will now be the outstanding Border Trophy fixture, which was postponed in early April.
