Sheffield 53 Comets 38 match report!

The Comets, minus their three Danes, tasted defeat at Owlerton tonight but they didn't go down without a fight, with two Tigers 5-1's in the last three heats flattering the Tigers in the end.
The Comets were not expected to seriously threaten the Tigers with such an under-strength side however, after twelve heats the score-line was Sheffield 40 Comets 33, and certainly provided food for thought as to how we would have fared with a full-strength septet.
With Ryan Douglas deputising for Kenneth Hansen, Michael Palm Toft replacing Rasmus Jensen and Rider Replacement for Claus Vissing it was far from the usual Comets line-up but nevertheless the two guests cannot be faulted for their efforts.
However, without question the star for the Comets at Owlerton was reserve Adam Roynon (seen above leading guest Michael Palm Toft to a 5-1 in heat 12), who raced to a 15-point haul from his six outings, including our only three race wins.
