No Rasmus Jensen this weekend!

The Comets will be without Danish rider Rasmus Jensen this weekend for Saturday's home meeting with Scunthorpe and the visit to Newcastle on Sunday.
Rasmus has been called up by his national federation (DMU) to represent Denmark in the semi-final of the European Pairs Championship at Badia Calavena in Italy on Sunday and so needs Saturday to get there.
Unfortunately there are no facilities available (Guests or Rider Replacement) when a rider is taking part in a European Championship event, so that means that a National League rider must take the place of Rasmus in the team, and have a minimum of three rides in the meeting.
Since being informed of this 'call-up' for Rasmus early this week the Comets management have been trying to get Rasmus out of the event, but without success.
As a result, the Comets will now be using local West Cumbrian rider Ryan Blacklock, who rides for National League Buxton, in the team against Scunthorpe on Saturday evening at Derwent Park (start time 6:00pm for this week only).
At present the identity of the National League rider for Sunday evening at Newcastle is still to be confirmed.
