Comets are in the PL Pairs!
Wed 15 Jun 2016 by Comets Press Office
Workington Comets will once again have a pairing in this year's Premier League Pairs, which takes place at Somerset on 'Grand Prix Eve' - Friday 8th July.
The names of the ten qualifying clubs have been revealed by the BSPA for the event, which takes place at Somerset's Oak Tree Arena, on the night before the British Speedway Grand Prix at the Principality Stadium, Cardiff.

This is always a spectacular night of speedway and one of the most prestigious occasions on the British racing calendar, which always draws a big crowd at the start of a major speedway weekend!

In addition to the Comets, the other nine qualifying clubs are, in alphabetical order:
Edinburgh, Glasgow, Ipswich, Newcastle, Peterborough, Plymouth, Rye House, Sheffield and Somerset.

All clubs have now been asked to select their pairing from their top three averaged riders and, once submitted to the British Speedway Promoters' Association, will be revealed next week.
