Somerset on Friday Night & the PL Fours at the weekend!
Fri 22 Jul 2016 by Comets Press Office
After their recent period of inactivity the Comets now have track action over the next three days beginning with a Premier League fixture at Somerset this evening starting at 7:30pm.
This is without doubt a tough fixture as the Rebels have yet to taste defeat in 2016 - home or away!

But, with Newcastle only losing by four points at the Oak Tree Arena last Friday it gives the other clubs some heart, and the Comets will certainly be hoping to improve on their 52-38 defeat there back in early May in their KO Cup fixture.

The Comets go into the meeting at full-strength before heading over to Peterborough on Saturday morning where the quartet of Ricky, Claus, Kenneth and Rasmus, with Mason lining up at reserve, will be looking to win the PL Fours title on the first ever two-day PL Fours weekend.

The Comets have been drawn in arguably the toughest 12-heat qualifying group, where they will face Glasgow, Somerset and Scunthorpe; with only the winning quartet progressing to Sunday's 16-heat Grand Final.

For the losing sides, two members of their team will compete in the individual meeting on Sunday afternoon, which takes place before the Fours Final, thus giving supporters of every club a chance to see their own riders on each day!
