The Comets have been hit by the double absence of both Kenneth Hansen and Rasmus Jensen ahead of thir final home fixture of 2016 when they entertain the Glasgow Tigers in the second leg of their League Cup semi-final.
Already trailing 64-25 from their rain-affected first leg at Glasgow three weeks ago this is a further blow to the Comets hopes of pushing the Tigers.
Rasmus Jensen is still suffering from the illness that ruled him out of last Saturday's home fixture with Redcar while Kenneth Hansen is suffering from the after effects of a fall from his moto-x bike earlier this week.
The Comets will operate Rider Replacement for Kenneth while Berwick's Theo Pijper comes in as a guest for Rasmus. Only skipper Ricky Wells is unable to take a Rider Replacement outing in place of Kenneth.
Meanwhile, for Glasgow; Nike Lunna, Rene Bach and Fernando Garcia are all expected to return from injury following spills over the past week or so.
The main meeting will be followed by a six-heat Northern Junior League fixture between the Workington Meteors and the Newcastle Gems, with the action getting underway at 7:00pm and a fine day in prospect.
The teams now line up as follows:
