Craig Cook qualified for the British Final at his home Premiership track Belle Vue on Monday 19th June after finishing third in last night's keenly-contested British semi-final at Sheffield.
Even a last ride engine failure while at the tapes couldn't spoil his night as, with 10 points already in the bag, he was safely through to the British Final by then!

The meeting was won by home rider and former Comet Kyle Howarth on 12 points, with Rye House's multi-British Champion Scott Nicholls second with 11 and Craig getting third place on countback by virtue of three race wins from his four completed outings.

The other Comet in the line-up, Adam Roynon, ended the evening with 2 points and so failed to qualify.

The top eight progress to the British Final, accompanied by the top eight from last Sunday's other semi-final, which took place at Newcastle.

1 Kyle Howarth (Wolverhampton/Sheffield) 12
2 Scott Nicholls (Rye House) 11
3 Craig Cook (Belle Vue/Workington) 10
4 Chris Harris (Rye House) 10
5 Josh Auty (Scunthorpe) 10
6 Lewis Kerr (Poole/Scunthorpe) 10
7 Lewis Bridger (Berwick) 9 - after run-off
8 Stuart Robson (Rye House) 9
RES: Carl Wilkinson (Scunthorpe) 9
