The Comets head across the A66 today for a SGB Championship fixture at Redcar - tapes up at 7:30pm.
Having dropped points to the Bears when the Derwent Park fixture ended in a draw just under three weeks ago the Comets are eager to take points back from the Redcar Bears.

Comets team manager Tony Jackson certainly believes that the side are more than capable of coming away from Redcar with something to show for their efforts and said: “It was very disappointing to draw with the Bears at our place but with several of our side having shown a liking for the Redcar circuit in the past we certainly feel that we can get a result there.

“Craig Cook rides well everywhere, while Ty Proctor is a former Redcar number one and knows the circuit better than most. But, with several other team members having previously had good meetings there in the past we believe that we have every reason to go there with confidence; despite the fact that Redcar are a much improved side this season and have a very solid top end to their team."

The Comets go into the meeting at full-strength while Redcar are missing reserve Ellis Perks, who sustained chest and knee injuries as a result of a crash at Poole last Wednesday whilst riding for Rye House in the SGB Premiership. He is replaced by Peterborough reserve Tom Bacon.

Meanwhile his reserve partner in the Redcar line-up, Richard Hall, will be making his last appearance for the Bears before being replaced by former Glasgow reserve Danny Ayres for the Bears next fixture. There had been some debate as to whether Hall would actually take his place in the Bears line-up this evening but the latest news coming out of the Redcar camp is that he will ride.
