It is all systems go for tonight's home Championship fixture against the Sheffield Tigers as the Comets resume their home league programme after a gap of several weeks due to a combination of bad weather, Knockout Cup fixtures and other events taking place at the stadium.
Sheffield are at full-strength for tonight's clash while last year's number one and captain Ricky Wells is flying in from Poland, where he appeared in last night's World Cup race-off for Team USA, to ride as a guest for the absent Craig Cook at number one.

Meanwhile, Redcar's Danny Ayres has declared himself fit following his crash at Redcar on Thursday evening and will line up as a guest for the Comets at number six tonight in place of the injured James Sarjeant.

The weather in Workington is very good with a bright and dry day forecast; so get down to Derwent Park for some live speedway at 7:00pm and support the Comets while recording the Speedway World Cup Final to watch when you get home to get the best of both worlds!
