The Comets face three busy days this weekend as they head ever closer towards the end of the season.
Tomorrow (Friday) they are in SGB Championship action at Peterborough's East of England Showground when they visit the Peterborough Panthers for the second time this season, with the action getting underway at 7:30pm.
The Panthers go into the meeting at full-strength while the Comets are minus the injured Thomas Jorgensen, with Tom Woolley once again filling in as the 2.00 rider at number seven in place of Rob Shuttleworth.
Then, on Saturday at 7:00pm at Derwent Park the Comets entertain the Newcastle Diamonds in their final home meeting of the season, which is also a SGB Championship fixture.
The Comets will line up as per the previous evening at Peterborough, while the Diamonds will be at full-strength apart from the absence of reserve Ben Hopwood; as he is in action at Eastbourne in the National League play-off semi-final riding for Kent. In his place the Diamonds are using Kelsey Dugard as a reserve guest replacement.
Then, while Sunday may be a day of rest for some of the Comets team members it won't be for Craig and Ty, who will be representing the Comets in the re-staged Championship Pairs at Sheffield, which gets underway at Owlerton at 3:00pm and features all ten Championship clubs.
