Cookie rides in re-staged Riders' Championship this Saturday!
Glasgow make a second attempt at staging the Riders' Championship this Saturday evening at 7:00pm following the previous postponement on 24th September.
Previously known as the PLRC, which has been held at Sheffield for many years, the meeting has a new venue this season; Glasgow's Ashfield Stadium.
The top averaged available rider from all ten Championship clubs will be in action along with the six next in line averaged riders - all competing over 20 heats, a semi-final and then a sudden-death Grand Final for the title.
Having returned to action with Belle Vue last night at Wolverhampton following the foot injury he sustained last Saturday Craig, a past winner of the PLRC and currently sitting on top of the averages, will be one of the pre-meeting favourites for the title.
However, he is certain to face strong competition from home riders Richie Worrall and Richard Lawson, along with another former Comet Ricky Wells, who is representing Edinburgh this year, plus of course former GP winner Chris Harris (Peterborough).
Meanwhile Sheffield's pair of former Comets, Josh Grajczonek and Kyle Howarth, have been ruled out of the meeting following recent injuries, along with another former Comet Charles Wright (Redcar) and Rory Schlein (Ipswich).
