Important update on the Cumberland Open and Ben Fund Meeting
The Workington promotion were sorry to see that the hugely important Ben Fund Meeting has had to be postponed until later in the year due to the weather and so would like to offer fans the opportunity to support the Ben Fund at their opening fixture.

Workington Speedway would like to invite all season ticket holders from all clubs around the country to attend the Cumberland Open individual meeting on Saturday 31st March and they will only have to pay £10 admission; £5 of which will go to the Ben Fund on production of their season ticket. We will also be organising collection points on entry to the stadium for a collection for donations to the Ben Fund.

Club owner Laura Morgan said: “We realise that the Ben Fund Meeting provides a very large and important cash injection for the fund at the start of the season, so we saw this as an opportunity to try and help the fund in whatever way we can as every little helps.”

The Cumberland Open has all seven Comets riding, as well as a host of other Premiership and Championship stars in a 16-rider, 20-heat top scorer wins format.

The meeting gets underway at 7:00pm and, with it being Easter weekend, all kids attending will receive a complimentary chocolate egg.

Already announced are Josh Grajczonek, Kyle Howarth, Ricky Wells, Rene Bach, Nicolai Klindt, Ty Proctor, Rasmus Jensen, Dan Bewley, Mason Campton and Kyle Bickley with three more riders set to be announced tomorrow.
