Proctor out of Cumberland Open and Charles Wright in!

Comets skipper Ty Proctor has had to reluctantly pull out of tomorrow's Cumberland Open Championship as he is still awaiting a vital document to arrive from the UK Border Agency.
For each league he races in he requires a separate card and while his Premiership one arrived earlier this week the one that allows him to race on Championship tracks has not arrived, despite Ty paying the optional extra fee to ensure that it was fast-tracked through the system!
A clearly disappointed Ty gave it until the last possible moment to see if it arrived but, having reached this late stage without it, felt it was best to pull out now to allow the club to find a replacement rider for tomorrow's event.
Despite the Bank Holiday weekend affecting the postal services it is certainly expected to arrive in good time for the Comets first official fixture at Glasgow next Friday. Meanwhile Ty plans to be at Derwent Park tomorrow evening despite being unable to race.
Former Comet Charles Wright, who finished as runner-up last year, has agreed to step in to fill Ty's position at short notice. He is grateful for the opportunity to race after both of his scheduled matches for Somerset today were postponed due to the poor weather affecting the south of the country.
