Dan Bewley missed out in the Grand Final of the British under-21 Final last night at Berwick as King's Lynn's Robert Lambert retained his title!
Robert Lambert powered through his five qualifying heats with a flawless 15-point maximum, followed by Dan Bewley on 14 points - after dropping his only point when the pair met in heat 15 (above).
This put the seeded pairing into the Grand Final where they were joined by Ipswich's Connor Mountain and former Comet Nathan Greaves.
However, in the Grand Final, with Lambert starting on gate four and Dan on his inside it was Lambert that again made the gate while Dan got baulked as Mountain and Greaves clashed on the first turn and after that Lambert was into a clear lead and on his way to the title.
Mountain finished second and Greaves third, which left Dan having to wait at least another year before he can pick up the title.
Meanwhile, the Comets other representative, Kyle Bickley gained some valuable experience at Under 21 level scoring 5 points.
