Comets at Lakeside tonight

The Comets visit Lakeside this evening for the first time since 2003.
Since then the Hammers moved up into the Elite League before spending last season at National League level.
As a result, the Comets side has limited experience of the tight 256m circuit; which is the smallest in the Championship and a whole new experience when compared to the Comets large 364m Derwent Park.
Dan Bewley (pictured) and Kyle Bickley have the most recent experience of Lakeside after visiting the venue last season when part of the successful Belle Vue Colts side.
The Hammers side are missing track specialist reserve Ben Morley, who is ruled out with a wrist injury following a big crash in their win at Redcar last Thursday. To replace him as a guest they have brought in Ipswich's Connor Mountain; runner-up in last month's British under-21 Final at Berwick.
Lakeside have only lost one of their past eight fixtures spread across all competitions and can move to the top of the Championship table with a win over the Comets this evening.
So far this season no visiting side has left the tight Essex circuit with anything to show for their efforts, but a full-strength Comets septet will be looking to change all that in what appears to be one of the Comets toughest league fixtures of the season. This Championship meeting gets underway at 8:00pm this evening.
