Comets get their home league fixtures underway with a win!
The Comets finally got their home Championship programme underway tonight with a hard-fought victory over a strongly-fancied Glasgow side in a match that even included a rare dead-heat - the first seen at Derwent Park since 2004 when James Wright dead-heated for third-place with Craig Boyce!

Tonight's dead-heat for third place in heat 11 between Mason Campton and Paul Starke proved crucial as it played its part in the Comets ending the night with a seven-point winning margin over the Tigers. This meant that they headed back to Glasgow with no match points to show for their efforts in what was an exciting and incident-packed meeting from start to finish.
