Comets skipper still on the sidelines
Comets Captain Ty Proctor will miss the Comets Championship Shield, semi-final, first leg at Scunthorpe tomorrow as he has still not recovered from his fall at Sheffield on Sunday and then, having had to withdraw from King's Lynn's match on Monday, he missed their matches on Tuesday and Wednesday.

A return to action in Saturday's double-header at Derwent Park is still a possibility depending how things progress over the next 24 hours.

Comets team manager Tony Jackson said: "Obviously losing our captain for such an important match at Scunthorpe is not ideal and, with a lack of suitable replacements available, we will be using rider replacement to cover for his absence.

"At least with him currently sitting second in our official averages all other team members are eligible to take one of his programmed rides, which reduces the impact slightly, although it increases the workload on everyone else and it reduces your options, especially when it comes to heat 15."
