Proctor OUT Of Tomorrow's Double-Header
Fri 07 Sep 2018 by Comets Press Office
Ty Proctor has declared himself unfit to take his place in tomorrow's two meetings.
Ty will miss both meetings against Newcastle and Redcar respectively as he continues to recover from his fall at Sheffield on Sunday and then, having had to withdraw from King's Lynn's match on Monday, he missed their matches on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Comets Owner Laura Morgan said: "Obviously going into a second meeting, especially a double-header without our skipper is a blow but Ty's health is paramount and the toll taken on both man and machine in two consecutive matches in one evening is tremendous. With the possibility of the play offs to come, we need Ty fit and well and fully ready to re-join the line-up.

"We will be running with R/R for Ty and as Tony Jackson has already explained at least with him currently sitting second in our official averages all other team members are eligible to take one of his programmed rides; which reduces the impact slightly, although it increases the workload on everyone else and it reduces your options, especially when it comes to heat 15."

In the evening's first match Newcastle will be operating R/R for Ashley Morris, who crashed very heavily racing for Wolverhampton recently.

In the second fixture Redcar will be using Newcastle's former Redcar rider Carl Wilkinson as a guest at reserve in place of the still injured Mikkel B Andersen.
