Crunch clash with Peterborough

The Comets face Peterborough at Derwent Park on Friday evening seeking a victory to book a place in the play-offs.
Following Glasgow's victory at Ipswich this evening to confirm their play-off place alongside Peterborough, it means that the final two places will be between Workington, Lakeside and Edinburgh.

But, with the Monarchs having only a single home fixture remaining, then three points for the Comets from the home tie against Peterborough and the visit to Newcastle on Sunday will be enough to see them clinch a top-four play-off place.

However, with Dan Bewley out for the season and skipper Ty Proctor still side-lined through injury the Comets task has been made somewhat harder than it would otherwise have been.

The Comets will operate Rider Replacement for Ty while former Comet Tero Aarnio, who was an impressive visitor with Newcastle last Saturday, will replace Dan.
