RIDER PROFILE
Mason Campton
Returning for his third season as a Comet is our asset Mason Campton; who this year is experiencing something new; as for the first time in his career he will be racing in the UK for a second successive season.

Previously visa issues have prevented that from happening; meaning it has been a case of ‘race one-miss one' since he first arrived in the UK in 2012 to ride for Glasgow. Following an impressive debut season with the Tigers the Comets management secured his signature for 2013, only for the tighter visa rules to prevent him gaining a visa to return in 2013.

However, he was able to secure a visa for 2014 before missing out yet again in 2015 as the entry requirements became even more restrictive.

But, victory in the Queensland Championship in December 2015 ensured that he qualified for a visa for both 2016 and 2017 and, after a generally disappointing 2016, he turned in some good scores at the back end of the campaign when mounted on an engine borrowed from his then team-mate Ricky Wells.

Mason is now hoping that the 2017 season can see him carry on where he left off in 2016!
